Anthurium – Red, Green, Ceramic Pot

Regular price €14,95

Anthurium – Red and Green in Ribbed Ceramic Pot is a ready-to-place indoor plant arrangement combining a live Anthurium (flamingo flower) with a ribbed ceramic pot in a muted green tone. At around 40 cm in height on delivery, it’s sized for shelves, sideboards and tables where you want tidy greenery and reliable, long-lasting blooms without a sprawling footprint.

The Anthurium is valued for its glossy, heart-shaped leaves and deep red spathes with an upright spadix. The plant keeps a neat, upright habit and typically holds individual flowers for weeks, making it a practical choice when you want colour that doesn’t require constant deadheading. The ceramic pot has a rounded silhouette with fine vertical ribbing and a subtle sheen that reads calm and modern, while also adding a little grip when moving the plant for watering or cleaning.

Plant care

  • Light requirements: Bright, indirect light is ideal. It will tolerate medium light, but avoid strong direct midday sun, which can scorch leaves and shorten flowering.
  • Watering routine: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Keep the soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. Empty excess water from the outer pot/saucer to reduce the risk of root rot.
  • Humidity preferences: Prefers moderate to higher humidity (approximately 50–70%). If indoor air is dry, group with other plants or use light misting around the plant (avoid soaking the flowers).
  • Temperature range: Best at stable indoor temperatures of 18–26°C. Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.

Growth and characteristics

  • Plant species: Anthurium (flamingo flower)
  • Approx. size at delivery: About 40 cm tall
  • Leaf / flower type: Glossy green foliage with red spathes and upright spadix
  • Growth habit: Compact, upright clumping; moderate growth indoors

Placement in the home

Place this Anthurium where it receives steady daylight without harsh sun: a bright living room shelf, a hallway console near a window, or a dining table set slightly back from the glass. In a home office it works well on a cabinet or side table, where the leaves won’t be brushed past. Turn the pot occasionally so the plant grows evenly and keeps a balanced shape.

Care tips

Wipe the leaves with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and keep the natural shine. Feed with a balanced houseplant fertiliser at low dose during spring and summer. If flowering slows, move the plant a little closer to the light and keep watering consistent. When repotting later, choose an airy aroid mix (with bark or perlite) for good drainage and healthy roots.
