Phalaenopsis Orchid Set – Dark Pink

Regular price €68,99

Plant description

This combi deal includes 4 Phalaenopsis orchids (moth orchids) in a Ø9 cm grower pot, selected for their rich dark pink to violet flowers and calm, architectural form. Each plant is delivered at an approximate height of 45 cm. Phalaenopsis is a reliable indoor flowering plant: it keeps its shape well on a windowsill or sideboard and brings colour without demanding daily care.

In the image, the orchids show a classic Phalaenopsis silhouette: broad, glossy green leaves at the base and upright flower spikes supported with slim stakes. The flowers are arranged densely along the stems, with multiple blooms open at once and a line of buds that can continue to develop after arrival. Each orchid is supplied with 2 or 3 flowering branches depending on current availability, which means you get a natural, living variation rather than a uniform, factory-like look.

Plant care

  • Light requirements: Bright, indirect light. Morning or late-afternoon sun is fine; avoid strong midday sun on the leaves and flowers.
  • Watering routine: Water when the potting mix is almost dry (typically every 7–10 days). Prefer soaking the inner pot for 10–15 minutes, then drain thoroughly—Phalaenopsis dislikes standing water.
  • Humidity preferences: Moderate humidity. Normal indoor levels work well; keep away from hot, dry radiators.
  • Temperature range: Typical indoor temperatures 18–26°C. Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below ~15°C.

Growth and characteristics

  • Plant species: Phalaenopsis (moth orchid)
  • Approximate size at delivery: ~45 cm tall; pot size Ø9 cm
  • Flower/leaf type: Dark pink/violet blooms on 2–3 staked spikes; thick green leaves with a smooth, slightly glossy surface
  • Growth speed: Slow to moderate; blooms typically last for weeks with stable light and temperature

Placement in the home

For the longest-lasting flowers, place the orchids in a bright room out of direct midday sun—on a dining table, a shelf near a window, or a hallway console with good daylight. A set of four works well when grouped as a low, consistent line across a sideboard, or split into pairs for a balanced look in the living room and bedroom. If you plan to place them inside decorative cachepots, choose a size that allows airflow and always keep the inner pot elevated and drained.

Care tips

Keep the crown dry (the centre where leaves meet), as trapped water can cause rot. Remove any water collected in an outer pot after watering. When the flowering period ends, you can trim the spike above a node to encourage a possible re-bloom, or cut it back fully so the plant can focus on leaf and root growth. A small dose of orchid fertiliser once a month during active growth is sufficient.
