Ficus Benjamina 'Twilight' Weeping Fig – Green
Plant description
Ficus benjamina ‘Twilight’ is a variegated weeping fig with slender branches and small, pointed leaves edged in creamy white. This live indoor plant is supplied at an approximate height of 95 cm in a Ø21 cm grow pot, finished with the natural Selin basket (woven look, warm sand tone) for a clean Scandinavian presentation. The plant is trained on a support stake to keep the form upright and easy to style from day one.
The ‘Twilight’ variety is chosen for its calm contrast: the fine, slightly arching foliage brings softness, while the light leaf margins lift the plant without feeling busy. As with most ficus, it prefers a stable spot and rewards consistency with dense, healthy growth. It is also widely regarded as an air-purifying houseplant, making it a practical choice for everyday rooms where you want greenery that works hard and looks considered.
Plant care
- Light requirements: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Tolerates medium light, but variegation stays strongest in brighter positions. Avoid harsh midday sun on the leaves.
- Watering routine: Water when the top 2–4 cm of soil feels dry. In many homes this is about once a week in spring/summer and less in winter. Let excess water drain; do not leave the pot standing in water.
- Humidity preferences: Average indoor humidity is fine. If the air is very dry (especially in winter), occasional misting or placing the pot near other plants can help reduce leaf drop.
- Temperature range: Best at 18–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts, radiators, and frequently opened exterior doors.

Placement in the home
Place this ficus near a window with filtered light—ideal for a living room corner, beside a sofa, or on a calm hallway landing with daylight. In kitchens and home offices, it works well a short distance from the window where the light is bright but not direct. Ficus plants dislike frequent changes, so choose one good spot and let it settle; stable placement is one of the simplest ways to keep the canopy full.
Care tips
If you notice a few leaves dropping after delivery, it is usually a response to transport and a new environment. Keep watering consistent, avoid moving it around, and it should stabilise. Turn the plant a quarter turn every couple of weeks for even growth. Feed with a balanced houseplant fertiliser once a month during spring and summer; reduce feeding in winter. Wipe the leaves gently with a soft, damp cloth to keep the variegation crisp and improve light absorption.
