Plant description

Ficus elastica ‘Melany’ (Rubber Plant) on stem is a compact indoor tree with thick, oval leaves in a deep green tone and subtle reddish new growth. Delivered at approximately 90 cm tall in a Ø21 cm nursery pot, it comes with the Igmar basket—a dark, woven planter cover that gives the plant a calm, finished look and helps it sit naturally in Scandinavian interiors.

The ‘Melany’ variety is valued for its dense foliage and steady, upright habit. The leaves are firm and slightly glossy, which makes the plant look tidy even in simple settings. As with many ficus varieties, it also contributes to a fresher-feeling room by supporting everyday indoor air quality.

Feed with a balanced houseplant fertiliser about once a month in spring and summer; reduce feeding to every 6–8 weeks during winter.
