- Light requirements: Bright, indirect light is ideal. The orchid prefers filtered light (avoid harsh midday sun). Succulents tolerate brighter positions and can take a few hours of gentle sun, especially morning or late afternoon.
- Watering routine: Water the orchid when the growing medium is almost dry—typically every 7–10 days, less in winter. Water sparingly and avoid leaving water in the decorative pot. For the succulents, water only when the soil has dried out completely; small pots dry faster, so check weekly but water lightly.
- Humidity preferences: The orchid appreciates moderate humidity (normal indoor levels are usually fine). Succulents prefer drier air. Keep good airflow and avoid misting if the room is cool.
- Temperature range: Typical indoor temperatures of 18–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts, radiators and direct heat sources.

If possible, rotate the pots occasionally to encourage even growth toward the light.
