- Watering routine: Orchid: water sparingly when the potting medium is almost dry (often every 7–10 days, depending on season). Avoid leaving water in the outer pot or on the tray. Succulent: water only when the soil has dried out completely; less is better than more.
- Humidity preferences: Orchid: moderate humidity (around 40–60%) and steady air circulation. Succulent: normal indoor humidity is sufficient.
- Temperature range: Keep both plants in typical indoor temperatures, ideally 18–26°C. Protect from cold drafts and hot radiators.

For the succulent, use a small watering can or spoon and aim for the soil, not the rosette. Wipe the ceramic and tray with a soft cloth to remove limescale marks and keep the set looking clean.
