Plant description

This white Phalaenopsis orchid (Phalaenopsis amabilis) is a blooming indoor plant supplied in a compact Ø9 cm pot, placed inside an Elite silver decorative pot made from ceramic. At around 35 cm in height, it is sized for shelves, sideboards, desks and dining tables—where you want a calm, long-flowering plant without taking up much surface space.

From the image, the plant shows the classic Phalaenopsis form: arching flower stems with unopened buds and clean white flowers with a soft yellow centre, set above deep green, broad leaves. Plant care

• Light requirements: Bright, indirect light. A spot near an east or north-facing window is ideal. Avoid strong midday sun, which can scorch leaves and shorten flowering.
• Watering routine: Water about once a week by immersing the inner grower’s pot briefly, then let it drain completely before placing it back into the ceramic pot. Water less in winter; always let excess water run off to protect the roots.
• Humidity preferences: Moderate humidity (typical indoor levels are fine). Keep away from very dry air from radiators; occasional light misting around the plant (not into the crown) can help in heated rooms.
• Temperature range: Best at 18–21°C, and generally comfortable in normal indoor temperatures. Avoid cold drafts and heat sources.

Keep the plant away from fruit bowls (ripening fruit can speed up flower aging) and avoid water collecting in the leaf crown. When flowering is finished, cut the stem back above a node to encourage a possible re-flush, or remove the stem at the base if it turns brown.
