Plant description

This COMBI DEAL includes two Phalaenopsis orchids (moth orchids) from Kolibri Orchids, delivered fresh from the grower. The variety “Las Vegas” is a multiflora type, meaning each plant carries many smaller blooms for a full, detailed look. The flowers show warm orange tones with soft yellow highlights, held on 3–4 flowering stems per plant. Each orchid comes in a Ø12 cm pot and is approximately 45 cm tall at delivery.

Phalaenopsis are valued for their long flowering period and balanced shape. The plant grows from a compact base of thick, green leaves, while the stems are supported for a neat, upright form. In calm Scandinavian interiors, the colour reads as warm but still natural—easy to combine with light woods, stoneware, linen, and neutral ceramics.

• Light requirements: Bright, indirect light. A few hours of gentle morning or evening sun is fine; avoid strong midday sun on the flowers and leaves.
• Watering routine: Water when the potting medium feels almost dry—typically every 7–10 days. The simplest method is to place the inner pot in lukewarm water for 10–15 minutes, then let it drain thoroughly. Avoid leaving water in the outer pot or sleeve.
• Humidity preferences: Moderate humidity suits most homes. If the air is very dry (especially in winter), place the plant near other greenery or use a pebble tray (pot raised above water level).
• Temperature range: 18–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts, hot radiators, and fruit bowls (ripening fruit can shorten bloom life).
