Plant description

This Kolibri Orchids set features three Phalaenopsis (moth) orchids in a warm orange-golden “Las Vegas” colour, arranged as a mono bouquet in the Como dish. The low, wide planter is made from recycled plastic and includes an integrated water reservoir with a wick-based Easy Watering System that lets the orchids take up moisture gradually. Approximate total height at delivery: 45 cm.

In the image, the orchids are presented with multiple flower spikes, supported with slim stakes, and a dense base of glossy green leaves. • Light requirements: Bright, indirect light. A spot near an east or west-facing window is ideal; avoid harsh midday sun on the leaves and flowers.
• Watering routine: Keep an eye on the reservoir and top up with water when it runs low. If you ever water from above, keep water out of the leaf crown to prevent rot.
• Humidity preferences: Moderate humidity (around 40–60%). Normal indoor levels are usually sufficient; avoid placing directly above radiators.
• Temperature range: 18–26°C, away from cold drafts and hot air vents. Stable temperatures help maintain blooms.

Care tips

Top up the reservoir little by little rather than overfilling. If you’re unsure, let the reservoir run nearly empty before refilling to avoid constantly wet conditions. Remove spent flowers as they fade; when a spike finishes flowering, you can trim it above a node for a chance of re-bloom, or cut it back to the base to let the plant focus on new growth. Wipe leaves occasionally with a soft, damp cloth to keep them dust-free and able to photosynthesise efficiently.
