The Kolibri Orchids Surprise Box is a curated set of four flowering Phalaenopsis orchids (moth orchids) delivered in a 12 cm grow pot. Each box is selected by the grower, so you receive a mixed assortment of colours and varieties without having to choose. These are live, flowering indoor plants with sturdy green leaves and multiple flower spikes (typically 3–4 branches per plant, depending on availability). Decorative outer pots are not included, making it easy to place each orchid in your own cachepot or planter.
Phalaenopsis orchids are known for their long-lasting blooms and calm, architectural shape. The flower spikes rise above a low rosette of thick, glossy leaves, bringing structure to a windowsill, sideboard, or dining table without taking up much surface space. Because the box contains four plants, it also suits homes and workplaces where you want continuity across several rooms—matching care needs, but with natural variation in flower form.

- Light requirements: Bright, indirect light. A few hours of gentle morning or evening sun is fine; avoid strong midday sun on the leaves and flowers.
- Watering routine: Water sparingly. Let the growing medium dry slightly between waterings. Typically once every 7–10 days is enough, less in winter. Prefer lukewarm water and allow excess to drain fully.
- Humidity preferences: Moderate household humidity (around 40–60%). Keep away from dry heat sources; occasional misting around the plant (not into the crown) can help in very dry rooms.
- Temperature range: Best at 18–26°C. Avoid cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C for extended periods.

Care tips
Use a cachepot with space for drainage, or remove the grow pot when watering to let it drain completely. Never leave the pot standing in water, as orchids dislike wet roots. If you want to encourage reblooming, keep the plant in a stable spot, water lightly, and remove faded flowers. Once the spike finishes, you can trim it back (how far depends on the spike condition) and continue regular care.
