The Kolibri Orchids Surprise Box is a curated set of four flowering Phalaenopsis (moth) orchids, selected by the grower and delivered in 9 cm nursery pots. Each plant arrives with a fresh, compact silhouette—glossy green leaves at the base and flowering stems with buds and open blooms. It is an easy way to bring several orchids into the home at once, without having to choose colours or varieties yourself.
In the box you will receive four different orchids from the current grower assortment. Because these are living plants, the exact bloom colour and pattern may vary from the images, and the number of flower stems can differ per plant (typically 2–3 sturdy stems, depending on availability). The orchids are supplied in their grow pots and without a decorative outer pot, so you can place them into your own ceramic cover pots or display them grouped in a tray.
Plant care
- Light requirements: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Tolerates lower light, but flowering is best near an east or west-facing window. Avoid strong midday sun on the leaves.
- Watering routine: Water when the potting medium feels almost dry (usually every 7–10 days). Use lukewarm water, let excess water drain fully, and never leave the inner pot standing in water.
- Humidity preferences: Moderate humidity (around 40–60%). If your home is very dry, place the pot on a pebble tray with water (the pot base should sit above the waterline).
- Temperature range: Typical indoor temperatures of 18–26°C. Keep away from cold drafts and hot radiators.

After flowering, you can cut the stem above a node to encourage a possible re-bloom, or cut it lower to let the plant rest and focus on leaf growth. Wipe leaves gently with a soft, slightly damp cloth to keep them dust-free and able to photosynthesise efficiently.
