Monstera deliciosa (often called the Swiss cheese plant) is a classic indoor plant known for its large, glossy leaves with natural splits and holes as it matures. Placement in the home

To keep the plant balanced, rotate it slightly every couple of weeks; Monsteras naturally grow towards the light. If you want a more vertical habit over time, a moss pole or support stake can be added as it matures.

Care tips

Use a well-draining indoor plant mix and let the soil dry slightly between waterings—consistently wet soil is the most common reason Monsteras struggle. Wipe the leaves with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and help the plant photosynthesise efficiently. Feed with a balanced houseplant fertiliser about twice a month in spring and summer; reduce to occasional feeding in winter when growth slows.
